Windows Internet Explorer 9 (32-Bit) Internet Explorer 9 is the recommended browser for Windows Vista. Now with Bing and MSN defaults for an improved web experience. Can I download Internet Explorer on a Mac? Will it harm my existing computer etc? I currently have Safari, Google Chrome, and Firefox.
Virtual Box free, Windows 7 Home Premium System Builder SP1 $92. IE9 is and can be secure and work just fine and I do prefer it to others, but Firefox lets me work in Apple Community easier is all. Safari still bogs down trying to open multiple tabs, isn't multi-thread efficient, isn't memory efficient or well behaved - beyond the advandages of keeping code in memory it is still a memory hog. Open the same 20 tabs in any other browser is the best way I know.

I also don't trust Google that much for security, I consider Google tracking and adsense to be a nuisance. Firefox gives some semblance, especially with add-ons, to tracking, cookies, privacy, and blocking content the best. Oh, and MacBook Pro? Or if you want to explore Safari. Any organisation running a website that still requires using Internet Explorer is run by morons. Such persons purporting to be IT experts should be escorted off the premises and gently restrained in a straight jacket and sent to a padded cell in an institution for the criminally insane.
(They should then be forced to use Microsoft Bob in perpetuity.) For those other disturbed persons who contrary to good advice wish to risk their sanity and worse security by running software even Microsoft no longer recommend there are free Virtual Machines purely for running Microsoft web-browsers. One of these could then potentially be run in VirtualBox. See Note: If your contract involves developing a website for use with Internet Explorer then arguably you are an accessory to a crime against humanity. Thank you for addressing my question. I gather that the people who subscribe to this website do not like Internet Explorer and advise running, not walking away from it. The organization that uses this is medium to small sized, but has a large footprint in the community it services-that is huge. Does someone have a less colorful, but slightly more objective, serious assessment that I could show to someone from the company on the off chance that they can be persuaded by evidence?
I am convinced I don't what to put this on my machine, and am working around pretty well with Google Chrome, but these folks are proudly touting their exclusive targeting of Internet Explorer 10. Therefore, there is more to come. It might be good to stem that if possible. I am not a tech-type person and am limited in my argument here.
